Casa da Alcáçova - Sights and leisure

		Tagus River	A short drive will take you to the picturesque village of Caneiras where you will find traditional fishermen´s houses built on stilts. Then on to Almoster to see the 13th century Cistercian monastery, where you can taste the famous arripiado cake.
		Drive along the river and stop in Alpiarça to visit the magnificent Patudos Museum . Continue to Chamusca where you will find the delicious " trouxas de ovos", and then to Golegã and it´s wonderful church. Nearby is the nature reserve of Paúl do Boquilobo, home of one of Europe´s largest colonies of herons.	Campinos
		Castel of Almourol	Keep on to the majestic 12th century Castle of Almourol, then to Constância, the birth place of the famous poet Camões, and to Tomar, the city of the Knigts Templar, both beautiful and historical towns. On the way to Fátima sanctuary you cross the nature park of Serra d´ Aires with splendid caves waiting to be explored. On the way back to the Casa da Alcacova you will pass through the town of Torres Novas where you will enjoy see the castle, churches and bridges.
